Butler County Farm Tour Showcases Six Farms plus An Equestrian Center In Southwest Butler County
The Butler County Farm Tour is Saturday, October 1st, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Butler County has many acres of vast farmland and a variety of dedicated working farms, making agriculture one of the county’s leading industries. To celebrate these hard-working farms, Butler County Tourism & Convention Bureau has organized the Butler County Farm Tour.
On Saturday, October 1st, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the region will have the opportunity to visit six different farms in the southwest quadrant of Butler County. This year’s event will also include an equestrian center. The free, drive-it-yourself tour allows families to plan their own routes and enjoy the day learning about and experiencing different farms and the locally harvested produce and products they provide.
Each of the participating farms will highlight its own goods, activities and/or food for visitors of all ages to enjoy. The family friendly event offers a variety of children’s activities ranging from petting alpacas, learning about horses, observing a honeybee hive, learning about trees, face painting, corn mazes, hayrides and other family-friendly festivities as well as live music and demonstrations.

“With agriculture being one of Butler County’s top industries, it’s really important to educate the community about our local farms. They provide us with so much from what we eat to what we wear and it’s really neat to get a behind the scenes look at all that hard work and dedication,” said Jack Cohen, President of Butler County Tourism & Convention Bureau.
Participating farms of the 2016 Butler County Farm Tour include: Asgard Acres Alpaca Farm, Eisler Nurseries & PineHall, Harvest Valley Farms, Lutherlyn Equestrian Center, Metrick’s Harvest View Farm & Market, Pine Hill Farms and Santa’s Heritage Farm.
