Child To Launch Cranberry Community Days Fireworks
But your child needs to enter the Cranberry Rocks competition to have a chance at launching the fireworks.

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA - What child wouldn’t like the chance to launch a fireworks display? That opportunity exists in Cranberry for the winner of a new competition highlighting the child’s creativity and community spirit.
Children 12 or younger should paint small rocks with the community theme of their choice. From May 21 until July 9, the painted rocks in clear storage bags can be brought to the township library along with a note providing the child’s name and parental contact information. For each painted rock brought in, the child will receive a raffle ticket for five weekly prizes that will be awarded each week.
Starting July 4 there will be six weekly drawings with the winning numbers posted on the Cranberry Township Community Chest website. Winners can collect their prizes by identifying themselves at the library customer service desk.

At the conclusion of the Cranberry Rocks competition, library judges will select the 20 rocks they think best represent the theme of community. The random winner selected from among those 20 will receive a private tour of the Community Days fireworks staging area with his or her family and then launch the event-ending fireworks display.
The contest isn’t just open to Cranberry children. Kids from neighboring communities are invited to participate as well.
