CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA — A Cranberry-area restaurant was cited by state officials for numerous health violations.

Mamacitas Mexican Bar and Cocktails in the Adams Shoppes in Adams Township, Butler County, was cited after being found out of compliance by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture.

  • Raw meats, cheese and vegetables were found in kitchen cooler at hazardous temperatures between 52 and 62 degrees.
  • A cooler is malfunctioning and not holding foods at safe temperatures.
  • Soda gun holsters at the bar were found to be collecting debris.
  • The handwash sink in the kitchen area does not have water at a temperature of at least 85 degrees.
  • Concrete floor slabs in the kitchen have gaps and were lacking caulk or sealant.
  • A scoop was stored in the ice machine with handle touching and/or buried beneath the ice.

Mamacitas remains open while the violations are being corrected.
