Cranberry To Avoid Tax Hike In 2019 Budget

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA - Supervisors are prepared to adopt a 2019 budget that holds the line on taxes despite the $23.5 million spending plan representing a 6 percent increase over the current budget.
The township millage rate will remain at 13.25 mills, the earned income tax will remain at 1 percent (split between the township and the Seneca Valley School District) and there will be no increase to the $52 local services tax.

- Full implementation of the 2016 fire strategic plan.
- Improvements to the township library.
- Replacement of Cranberry WaterPark lights and structures.
- Improving the Franklin-Burke roads intersection.
- Design and preliminary site plan preparation for new facilities for the public works and public safety departments.
- North Boundary Park lighting and turf upgrades.
- Route 19-St. Francis intersection signal upgrades and pedestrian improvements.
- Cranberry Heights Golf Course pavilion enhancements.
- Municipal center parking rehabilitation.
