Cranberry Memorial Day Weekend 2018: What You Need To Know

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA - There’s a lot going on in Cranberry this Memorial Day weekend and Patch wants to make sure you know all about it. Here are the activities and events scheduled around the township:

  • Cranberry Water Park Opens

The water park opens for the season on Saturday. Members are welcome to enter at 11:15 am and the gates open to the public at 11:30. Enjoy a family day at the pool and grab lunch at C.T.'s Snack Shack. Click here for more information on admission prices, deck rentals, parties, or swim lessons.

  • Scouting Event At The Fishing Pond

Bring the family to the Graham Park Fishing Pond on Saturday from 9 a.m. until noon to explore scouting opportunities for boys and girls. This free, family event will feature activities and fishing (loaner gear available), plus miniature boat making and racing on the pond, and a 1.2 mile hike along the Brush Creek Trail.

  • Memorial Day Program

Join the VFW Post 879 and community members Sunday at 1 p.m. at the North Boundary Park Veterans Memorial for the annual ceremony. Highlights will include: guest speaker, John A. Biedrzycki, former VFW National Commander and US Army Veteran; Post 879 Color Guard; Ohio Valley Marine Corps League Detachment # 882 Color Guard & rifle salute; Students from the Seneca Valley School District will sing the "Star Spangled Banner," there will be memorial wreath presentations, remembrance of POW-MIA with the release of white doves; and "Taps", performed by Seneca Valley High School musicians.
Free refreshments will be served at the conclusion of the program. Bring a lawn chair for your comfort during the 45-minute ceremony. Dress is casual.

  • Memorial Day schedule changes

Cranberry Highland Golf Course will be open.
Township offices and the library will be closed.
Trash, recycling and yard waste collections will be delayed by one day all week.
