Cranberry Mini-Golf Outing To Raise Money For Leader Dogs
The Cranberry Lions will hold next week's event at Fun Fore All.

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA - The Cranberry Lions Club will hold its ninth annual Family Mini-Golf Outing next week to raise money for Leader Dogs for the Blind. The event occurs Sept. 16 from noon to 3 p.m. at Fun Fore All on Route 19.
The event costs $10 per person. Kids ages 12 and under will receive a gift bag and a $5 Fun Fore All game room card.
The Lions Clubs International founded Leader Dogs for the Blind in 1939. Since then, the program has provided independent mobility to more than 14,000 visually impaired individuals. The school’s services are provided free of charge. The program involves classes on using a Leader Dog, orientation and mobility (traveling safely), computer training (using a screen reader) and Trekker GPS (talking navigational tool).
Proceeds from the mini-golf outing will support the Cranberry Lions’ efforts to pay for training, which costs $40,000 per dog. Over the past 18 years, the Cranberry Lions have donated more than $30,000 to the Leader Dog program, including more than $2,000 at last year’s event.
