Cranberry Rallies Around Cancer-Stricken Father

Cranberry Community Uniting People will hold a series of events to benefit Paul Bliss and his family.

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA - Paul Bliss has courageously battled cancer for the past three years. This weekend, the community will rally around the ailing Cranberry man and his family with a series of events to raise money for them.

Cranberry Community Uniting People will hold the annual Golf Classic at the Cranberry Highlands Golf Course on Friday, a 5K run and walk Saturday at the Dick’s Sporting Goods Complex at Graham Park and a softball tournament Saturday and Sunday.

Bliss was diagnosed with cancer in 2014 and lost his right eye to the disease. He also has undergone risky surgery to remove cancer from his brain lining. He appeared to have beaten the disease, but learned last year the cancer has spread to his liver. Complicating matter is that Bliss has been unemployed since last year.
