Cranberry Slowdown Campaign Set To Begin
Drivers will be reminded not to ignore the township's 25-mph residential speed limit.

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA - Slow down. That’s the message the township again will convey to motorists this summer via increased police patrols, yard signs, radar speed signs and traffic counters.
With strong support from local homeowner association, Cranberry once again is participating in the Drive 25 campaign. Built around the nationwide campaign theme of the Keep Kids Alive-Drive 25 Foundation, the 12-day campaign is intended to raise driver awareness of the township’s 25 mph residential speed limit at the start of summer vacation for students.
In 2016, 29 township neighborhoods participated in the campaign. Any neighborhood, PRD or subdivision homeowners association can participate this year by contacting assistant township manager Duane McKee. Cranberry Township Community Chest, RJ Development Company and the township are underwriting the program’s cost.
