Cranberry's First Brick Oven Pizzeria Debuts

A successful food truck operation has morphed into a brick-and-mortar pizzeria in Cranberry.

CRANBERRY, PA β€” The pizza served from a mobile food truck proved to be so popular that its owners have been able to open a brick and mortar location in the township.

Vitalia Wood Fired Oven has debuted at 1075 Freedom Road in the Freedom Village shopping center. It's Cranberry's first brick oven pizzeria.

Owners Francesca and Emilio Veneziano,a husband and wife team, are Cranberry residents.

"We first started working together as teenagers at Mamma Lucia’s Pizza Shop in the Northway Mall, and later at the Wexford location throughout college," the couple recalled on the Vitalia website.

"What began as after-school jobs quickly turned into a shared passion for food, craftsmanship, and the community that gathers around a great pie."

The eatery specializes in a variety of 12-inch pies - margherita, cheese, spicy mozzerela, sweet and spicy pepperoni, bianca, buffalo chicken, white buffalo and marinara.

The food truck operation that proved so successful currently is not operating but is scheduled to reopen in March.
