Advanced Controls and Distribution currently is based in Monroeville.
Advanced Controls and Distribution, an industrial electrical supply company, is moving into the building on Route 19 that once housed and Simpatico, an interior design store.
Ron Henshaw, Cranberry's director of community development, said Simpatico is in the process of moving out of the building. Platinum Lighting Concepts, a retail lighting store, moved to a new location at the intersection of Franklin Road and Route 228 in Cranberry last year.
On Monday, members of Cranberry's Planning Advisory Commission approved Advanced Controls and Distribution's plans to change a set of double doors on the north side of the 13,950 square-foot building into a garage door.

Describing the company as high-tech, Dellemonache said Advanced Controls and Distribution employs 25 people in three different offices.
It currently is based in Monroeville, but Dellemonache said the location on Route 19 would become the companyβs new headquarters. About 17 employees would work in the building, he said.
According to its website, Advanced Controls and Distribution is an authorized distributor to a number of major manufacturers, including Siemens, Weidmuller, Thomas & Betts, Ferraz Shawmut and Leviton. Dellemonache said the new location would not include a retail store.
The plans next will go before the Cranberry Board of Supervisors for approval.
