You know how parents often can (and do) leave a tribute to their student in the graduation program or yearbook? We’d like to extend to you the same opportunity.

Simply upload a photo of your graduating senior to this article by clicking the β€œUpload Photos and Video” button. Don’t forget to add a caption that tells your student how proud you are of him or herβ€”or maybe a goofy story from their youth.

Aw, parents. Your babies are all grown up!

We’re looking forward to seeing your photos. In the meantime, here’s everything you need to know about commencement.

  • Although the National Weather Service is forecasting clear skies with temperatures near 80 Friday, the weather is nothing if not unpredictable. If storms prohibit the start of graduation, the ceremonies will be held after 6 p.m.β€”as soon as weather permits.Β
  • If the program cannot be started by 8 p.m. Friday, the ceremonies will be rescheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday.
  • By now, your senior also should have received a cap and gown, which was distributed during graduation practice on Wednesday.
  • Graduating students also will receive three tickets marked β€œParents/Family” and two tickets marked β€œGuests.”
  • These tickets will be required for admission to the seating area on the home side of the stadium. Ticketless attendees will be seated on the guest side bleachers of the stadium.
  • Because of limited seating, extra tickets for the home side are not available. Indoor seating, however, is available in the for elderly and/or handicapped family members. Handicapped parking also is available.
  • If there’s less than picture-perfect weather Saturday as well, the ceremonies will be held indoors in two sessions at the Intermediate High School auditorium.
  • The graduating class would be separated into two groups. Students whose last name starts with letters A-K would be seated in the auditorium at about 10:30 a.m. and students whose last name starts with letters L-Z would be seated immediately following that ceremony (at about 11:30 a.m.).
  • If the indoor ceremonies are required, only those people who have tickets marked β€œParent/ Family” will be admitted into the Intermediate High School auditorium when their daughter or son’s section of the alphabet is graduating.Β
  • Additional seating and closed circuit television viewing of both ceremonies would be available in the cafeteria, gymnasium and classrooms of the Intermediate High School for other family members and friends.

Congratulations Seneca Valley Class of 2012! Don’t forget, we want to see those photos! Readers, feel free to leave your best life advice for the graduating seniors.Β
