Jackson Fish Co. Reopen for Business
A car slammed into the restaurant's building Friday, causing extensive damage.

Even a severely damaged front entrance couldn’t stop the Jackson Fish Co. from opening its doors Saturday.
“We’re back up and open for business,” said Chris Davison, a prep cook at the Jackson Township eatery.
On Friday, a car smashed into the restaurant’s building in the Creekside Plaza, causing extensive damage.

According to Jackson Township Police, an 85-year-old Zelienople man was pulling into a parking space in front of the building at about 12:30 p.m. when his foot slipped from the brake and onto the gas pedal.
The acceleration sent his car, a Chevy Cruze, over the sidewalk curb and into the building, a witness told police.

No one, including the driver, was injured. Restaurant co-owner Paul Tebbets expressed relief everyone was OK. At the time of the accident, there were about 15 people in the restaurant, including employees and staff.
Police declared the crash an accident and said no charges will be filed against the driver.
On Friday, a pair of makeshift brick pillars was holding up the glass front entrance of the restaurant, which was temporarily close. Some repairs have since been made to the building.
Davison said the glass window at the front of the restaurant has been boarded up. Jackson Fish Co. reopened for business at 2 p.m. Saturday.
“There’s a slight draft near the window, but that’s to be expected,” Davison said.
