Let's Beat Cancer Pittsburgh!
Beat Cancer Pittsburgh Charity Concert to Benefit the Glimmer of Hope Foundation

Sponsored by Pittsburgh City Paper, ABK Music, The Hard Rock Cafe, and Glimmer of Hope, the event will raise funds in support of a new integrative oncology center at UPMC’s existing Hillman Cancer Center of Pittsburgh. The center, a joint project from Glimmer of Hope and UPMC, will offer holistic and innovative management strategies for individuals with cancer to improve symptoms and quality of life.
This center will be designed to give cancer patients the tools and services they need to manage the multiple physical and emotional difficulties associated with a cancer diagnosis and treatment. Yoga, massage, acupuncture, meditation, music therapy and much more will be offered by wellness experts to address patients’ stressors, all under the supervision of an oncologist. Every patient will have an individualized plan of treatment and support. By embracing patients’ needs and wants,
Glimmer of Hope and UPMC believe this patient experience will be unparalleled.
All proceeds from “Beat Cancer Pittsburgh” will go to support the creation of the integrative oncology center. Ticket packages for the event start at $30 and VIP packages are available. Doors open at 5:00PM on September 4, 2014 for VIP guests, 6:30PM for general admission. For more details about the event and to purchase tickets, please visit: http://www.beatcancerpittsburgh.com/
