Passavant Memorial Homes Debuts New Website

Passavant Memorial Homes (PMH), a non-profit human services organization based in Warrendale, Pennsylvania, announced today that it has officially launched a new website (www.passavant.org). Streamlined down to 47 pages from its previous 156 pages, the new website was designed over the last year through the use of a Content Management System (CMS) under the direction and leadership of Rick D. Senft, CEO and President, for the Passavant Memorial Homes Family of Services.

“When we started this project, our goal was to create an innovative website, not a “cookie-cutter” site. We wanted it to be easy to navigate, search engine optimized and responsive, but most of all, we wanted it to be engaging. We believe we have accomplished our goal through the use of original photographs and material instead of stock images.”

Over 300 photographs of PMH individuals, family members, and employees are strategically placed throughout the site embodying the organization’s spirit and culture through the use of warm, beautiful imagery.

Rick Senft continued: “Today, for any business, your website is your online identity. Moreover, for Passavant Memorial Homes, our website will now serve as the foundation of our brand. This project was a team effort, and we are thankful for all who contributed to its success. We are extremely proud of our new website, and trust that the individuals we support, and their loved ones, will find the site useful, friendly and beneficial.”

A highlight on the new site is the “Success Stories” page where Passavant-supported individuals’ stories are told in order to provide hope and inspiration to others. The website also features a Vacancies Map, built-in Donation Form, and incorporates an EV SSL Certificate making the site as secure as most banking websites. Future enhancements to the website will include the use of video and the integration of social media.

Originally founded in 1895 in Rochester, Pennsylvania, the 119 year old organization’s mission is to “empower individuals with intellectual disabilities and behavioral health needs to live successfully in the community”. In addition to the original provider organization, related corporations have been developed over the years to meet the needs of the individuals supported by Passavant. Today, Accessible Dental Services, Inc., Life Enrichment Trust, Inc., InvivaSpan Health, Inc., PDC Pharmacy, Inc., and the Passavant Memorial Homes Foundation form the Passavant Memorial Homes Family of Services. The wide range of services and supports offered by these specialized companies continues to meet the needs of the over 800 individuals directly supported by Passavant as well being available to several thousand individuals with disabilities throughout the entire United States.
