Pooches On Parade: Costumed Cranberry Dogs To Participate In Halloween Event

Cranberry's spooky season activities will go to the dogs on Oct. 14.

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA - At leashed township recreation officials can say they’re trying something different in celebrating Halloween this year. Cranberry’s first canine costume parade will be held Oct. 14 at the Rotary Dog Park and Raider Pride Pavilion.

Dog owners are encouraged to dress up along with their canines for the chance to win prizes in the best owner and pet combo, most creative, and scariest costumes.

Check-in for the event, which costs $10 for residents and $15 for non-residents, begins at 11 a.m. and the parade will begin promptly at 11:15. Pre-registration with the Township’s Parks & Recreation Department is required either online, at www.cranberry4FUN.com/Register, in person, or by phone.

A veterinarian’s certificate documenting current rabies vaccination – not just a rabies tag – will be required; aggressive dogs will not be allowed.
