Seneca Valley Artists Gain National and Regional Recognition

Seneca Valley students are showing off their art to the rest of the nation.

The Alliance for Youth Artists & Writers recently announced  Seneca Valley students were the recipients of 28 regional and national awards as presented in the 2012 Scholastic Art Awards Competition.

This year, there were more than 200,000 works of art and writing samples submitted in the competition. About 13,000 received recognition at the regional level. Only 1,500 received recognition at the national level.

All national award recipients have been invited to attend the national celebration, which will be held at Carnegie Hall in New York City June 1.
