Seneca Valley Defeated in First Round of PIAA Lacrosse Playoffs

The Raiders fall the the Mt. Lebanon Blue Devils in overtime.

In a tough 8-7 loss, fell to the Mt. Lebanon Blue Devils in the first round of the PIAA boys lacrosse playoffs Wednesday.

With just three second left in the first round of overtime, the Blue Devils scored the winning goal.

Head coach Peet Poillon said the Raiders didn’t play their smartest lacrosse of the season last night at North Allegheny’s Tiger Stadium against a good Mt. Lebanon team.Β

β€œI am extremely proud of our guys for what they accomplished as a group,” he said. β€œIf they take the same hardworking, disciplined approach they had this whole year, they will be successful in whatever they do in the future.”

Seneca Valley took its first Division 1 WPIAL title Friday in a 8-5 victory over Shady Side Academy.
