Seneca Valley Hires New Boys Basketball Coach
Kevin Trost brings a successful head coaching resume to his new position.

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA - Seneca Valley High School has its first new basketball coach in more than a decade. The district has hired Kevin Trost to lead the boys’ varsity team.
Trost will succeed Victor Giannotta, who resigned in June after 14 seasons.
Trost most recently coached at Bishop Canevin High School, where he led the basketball team to the WPIAL playoffs three out of the past four years, twice making the semifinals. During that time, the team also qualified twice for the PIAA playoffs, advancing to the PIAA semifinals in 2017.
Trost also coached the at Carlynton High School from 2010-12; at North Hills from 2000-10 and 2012-14. He was a North Allegheny youth basketball coach from 1996-2000.
Trost played for the Juniata College men’s basketball team, lettering all four years and serving as team captain his senior year. The Crescent Township resident is a PNC Bank vice president.
