Seneca Valley Teachers, School Directors Ratify 5-Year Contract
The agreement with the district's professional staff also covers nurses, guidance counselors and librarians.

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA — Seneca Valley School District directors and the Seneca Valley Education Association approved a new five-year labor agreement. The pact covers the district's 568 teachers, nurses, guidance counselors and librarians.
The new agreement will be retroactive from July 1 as the previous contract expired on June 30. The new pact is effective through June 2026.
According to the district, the agreement includes wage increases annually averaging 4.2 percent over the length of the deal. It also includes two additional workdays and health care changes that include increased deductibles and brand prescription co-pays.

Seneca Valley Superintendent Tracy Vitale expressed satisfaction that the agreement was reached without a prolonged labor dispute. Sharon Bonavoglia, the education association's chief negotiator, complimented school directors on their willingness to reach the agreement and called the pact "an excellent contract."
