Winter Hikes Coming Up on February 20
Cherry Pike Hike at Jennings Environmental Center and Veterans and their Families Hike at Moraine State Park
There are two outdoor events being held on February 20th, 2016. The 45 minute Cherry Pie Hike at Jennings Environmental Education Center kicks off at 9 a.m. with new groups starting every half hour until 1 p.m. In honor of George Washington’s birthday, hikers will meet re-enactors portraying Washington, Christopher Gist and the Native Americans they encountered on their 1753 mission. The Veterans and their Families Hike is slated for the same day at Moraine State Park. Service members and their families are invited to take part in the free two-mile hike.
