Rockin' Richard is ready to take your request at 203-479-8807.
This week Richard plays an interview with "The Daddio of the Radio"
Porky Chedwick from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Also known as "Pork the Tork" he started in radio in the late 40's and was the first white DJ to play "race" records on the radio.
He was responsible for helping the careers of people like Smokey Robinson, Moonglows, Platters etc etc.
Porky recently passed to the great big record hop in the sky so this is a
very special tribute to him.
Also hear some of the greatest recordings throughout the show from
the 50's and early 60's.
