Borough Of Dormont: Officer Update/Press Release

Officer Rob Barnes, an eight (8) year veteran of the Dormont Police Department was shot in the torso during an incident on Gilkeson Road in Mt. Lebanon. The bullet was stopped by Officer Barnes’ ballistic vest. Officer Barnes was transported to Mercy Hospital where he was treated and released. Officer Barnes is expected to make a full recovery.

All further inquiries should go through the Allegheny County Police Department, as this is an ongoing investigation.
