In the busy, noise filled, all about me going on’s in the world,  Manners have either been completely forgotten or are completely lost on this generation.
Wikipedia states that... “In socity, manners are the unenforced standards
of conduct which demonstrate that a person is proper, caring, non-grouchy, polite & refined. They are like a lot of laws in that they set a standard for human behavior, but they are unlike laws in that there is no formal system for punishing transgressions, the main informal "punishment" being social disapproval. They are a kind of way of life. What is considered "mannerly" is highly susceptible to change with time, geographical location, social stratum, occasion, and other factors.”.

What does this mean for the average Joe? Well folks let me elaborate..This means Take a class, ask your grandparents or look up the word and Grow, Get & Use some Manners...

Now you’re asking well why don’t you just tell us what they are... Folks if someone has to tell you ...There is no hope. But if you look close enough & deep enough within your selves you’ll find the answer & hope fully start to implement
them into your everyday lives.

But just in case you need a little nudge....

1. Practice Basic Courtesy. Saying "PLEASE" & "THANK YOU" will go a long way into making you feel like you had manners the entire time, use it everywhere & every time that someone is doing something for  you or your asking something of someone.  Also saying "EXCUSE ME" will be a bonus.

2. Speak Politely to All. Speaking Nice & Kind ABOUT EVERYONE will go a long, long way. Try to stay away from gossip, slang, rude topics, swear words, and anything you wouldn't want your mom hearing.  Don't Interrupt & ALWAYS be a great listener & Congratulate people. Also, Being a good sport is also a huge must.

3.Know how to Acknowledge People. If you're greeting someone, Always
say Hi, Hello or Good Day! You can add Hugs, Kisses & Hand Shakes if you
feel the solution is warranted.  And always do it with Grace.

4.Holding Doors Open for Others.  Anyone can hold doors open for others.  If you see someone entering or exiting thru a door do a little something extra & hold it open for them.  All ya have to say is..."May I get the door for you?"

5. Be a Safe & Courteous Driver. You can’t go wrong if you... Motion for others to pass or turn in front  of you, Use your turn signals, Yield to pedestrians & anyone who isn’t in a vehicle, Don't tailgate & Remember, your two-ton hunk of junk is a lot more dangerous to others than they are to you.

6. Guidelines for All...  Younger People should always yield to Elders, We all should be Courteous each other. If you're still confused, Always go with your best judgment.   The rest... like your Personal Image, Thank You Notes, Phone Etiquette, Dining Manners, Just living a Non Drama Life, Being true to yourself...WILL
COME.  Don’t try to do it all. By changing something little daily …You will have Manners in no time.

7.  So World here is the Big Secret.

MANNER’S  = TREATING OTHERS AS YOU WOULD WANT TO BE TREATED…

IT’S AS SIMPLE AS THAT.

Have a wonderful day,

Cassie @ CASSANDRA'S FLORALS
