Tomorrow is the primary election and in Dormont it is maybe as important as ever to get out and vote! We live in a borough where one vote may make a difference. I could go on and on about how privileged we are to be able to vote etc. but we have all heard that before. But so many people always say "it's only the primary" or "my vote will not count anyway" or "I don't even know the candidates" well I say your vote will count, the primary is the election for Dormont and you should get to know the candidates!
A lot has happened in Dormont the last few years. The volunteer fire chief was demoted and reapproved, we have had pool, passive parks and many other agendas pushed at us, the police department and fire department budgets were reduced, the morale of the borough employees has been called into question and now the police chief demoted. Many people may have different opinions and stand on different sides of these issues but these issues concern us all! We all should make sure that our vote is heard tomorrow!
