Eagles Twirling Corps Registration
The Eagles Twirling Corps is a fun activity for children 6 through 18. Practices are fun and challenging and those participating get to march in some of the biggest parades in the Pittsburgh Area.
The Eagles Twirling Corps was organized by The Dormont Athletic Booster Association (DABA) in 2008 for boys and girls ages 6 through 18 in Dormont, Green Tree and Castle Shannon. The group consists of Baton Twirlers, Color Guard and Banner Carriers. We are holding a registration on Wednesday, April 17th at Dormont Borough Gym.
We have spent the last 5 years developing our program to march in local parades and events. We start off parade season by participating in DABA’s Lead off the Season Parade kicking off opening day festivities for spring activities. This year the parade is on April 20th and starts at 10 AM at the Dormont Borough Building.
The group participates in the following list of parades:

- The Memorial Day Parade starting in Brookline and finishing in Mt. Lebanon.
- The 4th of July Parade held in Brentwood, one of the largest parades in Pittsburgh.
- The Halloween Parade in Mt. Lebanon where the members dress up in their Halloween costumes.
- The Dormont Christmas Parade welcoming Santa Claus and the Holiday Season.
The corps has been asked to perform in the evening on the 4th of July in Dormont Park before the Fireworks and special performance at The Tiffany Ball held in Churchill. We have also performed at the Dormont Days event.
The corps is hoping to become a competitive group this year for NJA/TOB and Twirling Unlimited. We would love to have you come join us for our 2013-14 marching season. Please come any Wednesday evening 6:30 PM or Sunday at 2:00 PM at the Dormont Municipal Gym and see what our program has to offer you.
Our instructor is Terre Paulson, who has over 30 years’ experience teaching this craft to children as young as 6 and at the high school level. For more information, please feel free to contact Terre at mtpaulson14@gmail.com.
