PA Working Families Coming Together: Your Voice, Your Government and Your Economy

Working Families is a new grassroots group for the rest of us — the hard working families who make Pennsylvania what it is.

PA Working Families is a new grassroots group that is bringing people together across the Commonwealth. Working Families is a new grassroots group for the rest of us — the hard working families who make Pennsylvania what it is. Pennsylvania Working Families is comprised of people who don’t have a lobbyist or a Super PAC. We’re proud members of the 99%.

We’re fed up with big corporations that play by their own set of rules, and with the politicians who enable them. We’re teachers and janitors and carpenters and small business owners. We’re retirees and students. We’re the overworked and the unemployed. We’re parents and grandparents. And we’re joining together to make our politicians pay attention.

This year, we’re standing up and fighting back. We want an economy that works for everyone and a government that puts ordinary families first. The middle class keeps falling further behind when our elected leaders let big businesses and the super wealthy write their own rules and walk all over ordinary families.

We’re calling on all politicians in Pennsylvania to take these steps to put our economy to work for all of us and put the voters in charge.

  • Make the wealthiest 1% pay their fair share in taxes. Close tax loopholes so millionaires, big corporations, and Wall Street bankers don’t get away with paying a lower tax rate than hardworking teachers, nurses, and secretaries.
  • Create good jobs now. Invest in American jobs and put people back to work.
  • Stop cuts to vital services. Safeguard our public schools, our hospitals and Medicare, and Social Security.
  • Represent people, not corporations.  Get corporate money out of politics, now.

We are excited to blog at Patch.com about the people taking action in our community. We look forward to hearing from you with your stories and ideas about how we can make our state better for the 99%.
