Bus Takes Out Brookline's Famed Cannon
Details remain sketchy on how the accident occurred.

BROOKLINE, PA - A Port Authority Bus on Saturday struck the iconic cannon on Brookline Boulevard.
No injuries were reported in the afternoon accident, but the cannon was dislodged from its usual sitting place on the small island between Brookline Boulevard, Queensboro and Chelton avenues.

The cannon, a World War I artillery piece, has been a mainstay on Brookline Boulevard since 1934. It’s the centerpiece of Brookline's Veterans Memorial Park, officially known as Triangle Park.
