Dormont Sexual Assault Suspect Nabbed

DORMONT, PA - One day after police asked for assistance in identifying the suspect in the sexual assault of a 15-year-old girl, Desi Walker, 38, was arrested and charged with the crime, Allegheny County Police announced Friday.

In March, the girl reported that she was forced into an abandoned garage and assaulted. Surveillance video of the area near the assault showed an individual matching the description provided by the victim.

Based on the video, a tip was received that the person in the video frequents Downtown. At approximately 8 a.m. on Friday, Port Authority Police observed the individual Downtown and positively identified Walker. He was taken into custody and charged. Walker, who told police he is homeless, is being arraigned at the county jail.
