In the shadow of their successful tour of Italy last summer, the young musicians of the Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Orchestra now look to Germany and Russia for musical inspiration. Music Director Lawrence Loh will lead the 95-member Orchestra in the most recognizeable symphony ever written, Beethoven's Symphony No. 5. Shakespeare's famous characters will come to life in the Romeo & Juliet Fantasy Overture by Tchaikovsky. PSO Associate Conductor Thomas Hong will conduct the rousing opener Ruslan & Ludmilla by Glinka. Now in it's 65th season, PYSO continues its tradition of presenting free concerts at Heinz Hall. The concert is free, but tickets are required for admission Click here to download FREE tickets.Â
