No Liberty Bridge Access Again This Weekend
Haven't we been through this a lot lately?
PITTSBURGH, PA - By now, everyone should know the drill. Yes, the Liberty Bridge will be closed again this weekend.
Like so many weekends before, seemingly since prehistoric times, the bridge will close to traffic from 8 p.m. on June 16 through 5 a.m. on June 19. The outbound Liberty Tunnel and P.J. McArdle Roadway will remain open the entire weekend, as will single lane in the inbound Liberty Tunnel. Inbound traffic will be required to turn right upon exiting the tunnel.
Crews will conduct barrier removal, line eradication and painting, lane control system adjustments and other construction activities related to the bridge’s ongoing rehabilitation.
