Potomac Avenue Reconstruction To Resume Next Week
Contractors will rebuild the road between Espy and Voelkel avenues.

DORMONT, PA - Navigating around Potomac Avenue is going to be difficult beginning next week, as the second phase of the street’s reconstruction begins.
Following a rebuild of the street from West Liberty Avenue to Espy Avenue, contractors will now focus on reconstructing it from Espy to Voelkel Avenue. The $750,000 project slated to start June 20 and be completed by the end of September,
According to borough documents, work will include the complete removal of the roadway, sidewalk and curbing from right-of-way line to right-of-way line; the removal and disposal of all planters; removal of some street lights; installation of new street lights; installation of new curbing and a permeable paver surface for both road and sidewalk areas; construction of landscape boxes and planters; striping and modification of street lighting.
Portions of the street will be closed during construction. Niando Construction of Penn Hills will perform the work.
