Three Pittsburgh Restaurants In The Nation's Top 100
Open Table gives high marks to Poros, Downtown; Whitfield in East Liberty and Morcilla in Lawrenceville.

Three Pittsburgh eateries have been made the dining website Open Table’s list of the 2017 Top 100 Hot Spot Restaurants in America. The restaurants honored are Poros, Downtown, Whitfield in East Liberty and Morcilla in Lawrenceville.
Poros, which sports the largest outdoor patio dining area in Pittsburgh, features Mezze, small plates from the Mediterranean. Features fresh seafood from the Aegean Sea and lamb from two well-known local farms.
Morcilla, the latest eatery from renowned Chef Justin Severino, specializes in Spanish cuisine. The menu focuses on traditional pintxos and Severino’s charcuterie program. Pittsburgh Magazine chose it as the city’s best new restaurant in 2016, Bon Appetit ranked it number four in the country in its annual best new restaurants issue and it was nominated for a 2016 James Beard Foundation in the national best new restaurants category.

Whitfield, located in the Ace Hotel, has a seasonal menu that relies on farm-driven food from local ranches. Bon Appetit rated its pastrami sandwich among the nation’s best new sandwiches last year.
Open Table compiled the Top 100 list by analyzing more than 10 million reviews by verified diners of more than 24,000 restaurants nationwide.
