Victories for KO Sports, Plus Black Out Night This Friday

Here are five updates about what's happening in Keystone Oaks sports:
- The KO Girls Volleyball team wonΒ 3β0Β over Steel Valley, improving itsΒ record to 2-1.Β The next section game will be at South ParkΒ on Thursday.
- TheΒ KOΒ mens cross-country team competed against ChartiersΒ HoustonΒ on Tuesday.Β Team captainΒ Tom GormanΒ led the Eagles and finished secondΒ overall. Despite impressive efforts byΒ Jesse Stefanski, Dante Barbetti, Doug Sabo, Connor Meriwether, and NevinΒ Kelly, the men fell to Chartiers HoustonΒ 31-24.
- The womens cross-country team also competed Tuesday against Chartiers Houston, andΒ ran to their first victory.Β Mariah Berman, Elizabeth Boyle, Erica Ragan, MarleeShipp, Jenny Murtha and Lauren RaganΒ all finished together in first place.Β KaleighΒ SmithΒ rounded out the top seven with an impressive effort, as well.
- The KO JV Boys Soccer team wasΒ victorious over PittsburghΒ Obama on Tuesday night, with aΒ 2-0 win. TheΒ Varsity team lost in a hard fought battle, despite an assist fromΒ Kurt Rahner to Ben CantyΒ toΒ set up the team'sΒ onlyΒ goal.
- On Friday, Sept. 13, the KOHS football teamΒ will takeΒ on Seton LaSalle atΒ 7 p.m.Β at Dormont Stadium. It is Middle School night and also will be a black outΒ night.
