• Schuylkill Shuffle will help maintain river trail (readingeagle.com) — Runners and walkers from Douglassville and nearby towns can join the new Schuylkill Shuffle on Oct. 10, with a 10-mile course that crosses the Douglassville Bridge on the Schuylkill River Trail. Starting from Pottstown Riverfront Park, the event offers multiple distances, family-friendly options, and a fall celebration, while raising money to maintain and improve the trail you use locally.
