DOYLESTOWN, PA — A Doylestown woman has been acquitted of attempted first-degree murder in a bloody knife attack last summer in Doylestown Borough, but was found guilty on several other charges and is now awaiting sentencing.
Robin McClain NcNamara, 51, was found not guilty of attempted homicide and first-degree felony aggravated assault stemming from an incident that happened in July 2025 at a downtown apartment, according to court records.
While finding her not guilty of the two most serious charges, she was convicted of six other charges, including second-degree felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, two simple assault charges, recklessly endangering another person, possession of an instrument of crime, and harassment.

In July 2025, the Central Bucks Regional Police Department responded to an apartment at South Main and State streets in Doylestown Borough for an abandoned 911 call and for a well-being check of a female at the same location.
Upon arrival, police said they encountered McNamara outside the building with clothes soaked in blood. She informed police that the blood was from the victim, and she believed she had broken the victim’s nose, police reported.
Police said inside the apartment, they found the victim suffering from serious knife wounds, including a deep laceration to the back of the head. The victim was transported to a trauma center for medical treatment.
The victim told police that McNamara had attacked them with a cleaver-type knife, which was recovered from the scene by police.
