The closure affects a stretch of Pickertown used for east-west travel through the township.

Police are advising motorists to avoid the area while utility crews work to repair the damage. Drivers are being told to use Bristol Road or Street Road as alternate east-west routes through the township.

It was unclear how long the road would remain closed.
