WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — The Warrington Township Police Department reported the following arrests in March and early April for drug possession, retail theft, and a Megan's Law violation.
Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Charges
- At approximately 9:29 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Kansas Road and Garden Avenue after a driver failed to stop at a posted stop sign. Upon speaking with the 29-year-0ld driver from Philadelphia, the officer detected a strong odor of both burnt and fresh marijuana coming from the vehicle. When asked if he possessed a medical marijuana card, he presented the police with a card that had expired a year ago. Police said a subsequent search of the vehicle led to the seizure of multiple items, including two plastic bags containing approximately 35 grams and 30 grams of marijuana, as well as five mylar bags, three containing marijuana and two appearing unused. Officers also recovered a digital scale coated with marijuana residue and rolling papers. The driver was taken into custody and transported to the police station, where he was processed and later released.

Signed, Warned, and Violated
- Bucks County Adult Probation notified Warrington Police on March 16 that 22-year-old Nicholas Kelly of Warrington, a Tier 1 Megan’s Law offender, violated his registration requirements. As part of Megan’s Law, Kelly is required to register with the Pennsylvania State Police and provide detailed information, including residence, employment and any vehicles he owns or operates. Offenders are required to update that information in person when changes occur. Records showed Kelly completed registrations on May 14, 2025, and again on February 27, 2026, both of which outlined the obligations. Probation officers said Kelly signed documentation acknowledging he understood the requirements under penalty of law. Despite this, officers noted Kelly indicated ownership of a vehicle that he failed to register as required. Investigators said Kelly drove the vehicle to a meeting and had the same vehicle at his home. He is charged with failure to comply with registration requirements.
Wegmans Theft Results in Arrest
- On April 12, Warrington Police responded to Wegmans for a report of retail theft. Upon arrival, loss prevention personnel had a 44-year-old Warrington woman detained in the office. Loss prevention told police that she had selected $63.35 worth of merchandise and exited the store without paying. She was placed under arrest and transported to the station, where she was processed and released.
