The family-owned and operated store has served the Doylestown and Bucks County community for more than 25 years. In its announcement, the store said the decision comes as owner Douglas Mortimer retires after 20 years.

“After 20 years, Doug is closing this chapter," the store announced. “To Doug, this store was never just a business. Through it, he's built a lifetime of relationships, created memories, and shared this community’s special moments.”

The store's going-out-of-business sale will continue through Sunday with the entire stock of fine jewelry liquidated. That inventory includes wedding rings, diamond jewelry, colored gemstone jewelry, diamond earrings, all men's and ladies watches, and more.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, April 24, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, and 12 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 26.

Customers responding to the closing shared memories of the store and its role in their lives and the community over the years.

One customer wrote, “You guys have been our jewelers for 27 years! Congratulations on your next chapter.”

Another said, “I'm happy for you, but sad. You guys are the best! You took my mother's beautiful pearl necklace and made three beautiful bracelets for my daughters. I trust you, and that's tough for me! Best of luck. Enjoy your retirement!”

Other customers thanked the store for jewelry repairs, kindness, and longtime service. One wrote, “You have been my go-to jewelry store for jewelry repairs for many, many years.”
