BUCKINGHAM, PA — Kin Wellness and Support Center in Buckingham is looking for local spas, salons and med-spas for this year's Bucks County Spa and Salon Self-Care Month.
The annual spring fundraiser, benefiting Bucks County cancer patients and their caregivers, is set to run from May 6 through June 6.
For those interested in getting their salon, spa or med-spa involved, there is still time. Email: hello@welcometokin.org or call 267-544-5981.
Spa and Salon Self Care Month is designed so the self-care of others translates into care for the local cancer community.
Several high-profile businesses have already committed to participate, including: Nurture Spa, Modern Aesthetic Rejuvenation, Rituals by Dona French, Joli Beautique, Drip Bar Doylestown, Serenity Day Spa, Pure by Alpha Dermatology, Boro Piercing, Doylestown Float Studio, Ruby Gloom, Kaleidoscope Angels, Love Salon, The Wellnest Bucks County, Seven Pines Apothecary, Greater Philadelphia Community Acupuncture, Strada Hair Salon, and Be Your Own Beautiful.
Nicole and Adan from Boro Piercing Studio and Boutique in Yardley.
How it works
When people book an appointment at one of the participating spas, salons or med-spas, a percentage of their treatment and/or product fee will benefit Kin Wellness and Support Center and its cancer patients, caregivers and oncology healthcare workers.
The program was created so local residents can transfer their self-care into care for local cancer patients.
“We are so pleased to see this event growing year-over-year. It continues to attract the most giving local business across Bucks County. Kin is proud to create opportunities and events that perpetuate purposeful wellness,” shares Keith Fenimore co-founder and executive director of Kin Wellness and Support Center.
The Bucks County Spa and Salon Self-Care Month has a dedicated webpage at welcometokin.org/self-care where participating locations are listed with a hyper-link to their business. As a visual indicator, all participating locations will also have a special decal displayed in their window.
