DOYLESTOWN, PA — Tuesday, May 19 is Primary Election Day across Pennsylvania.
In the Doylestown area, voters will weigh in on the race for Pennsylvania's 1st Congressional District, currently represented by Republican Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick.
Fitzpatrick is unopposed on the Republican ballot. He was first elected to Congress in 2016 to represent the 8th congressional district. Following redistricting in 2018, Fitzpatrick was reelected to represent what is now the 1st congressional district (Bucks County and a portion of neighboring Montgomery County).
On the Democratic ballot, front-runner Bob Harvie, a Bucks County Commissioner and former Falls Township Supervisor, is running against Lucia Simonella, a scientist and mathematician from Quakertown, for the party's nomination.
State Senator
On the Democratic ballot, incumbent Democrat Steve Santarsiero is unopposed in the 10th District primary and Eileen Hartnett Albillar is unopposed in the 6th District primary.
On the Republican ballot, Greg Bankos is unopposed in the 10th District primary and incumbent Republican Frank Farry is unopposed in the 6th District primary.
State Representative
On the Democratic ballot, incumbent Tim Brennan is unopposed in the 29th District primary, Tim Hayes is unopposed in the 143rd District primary, Monica Weninger is unopposed in the 178th District primary, and incumbent Brian Munroe is unopposed in the 144th District primary.
On the Republican ballot, Sean Duffy is unopposed in the 29th District primary, incumbent Shelby Labs is unopposed in the 143rd District primary, incumbent Kristin Marcell is unopposed in the 178th District primary, and Mike Murphy is unopposed in the 144th District primary.

Polls will be open Tuesday, May 18 at 7 a.m. Voters can cast ballots up until 8 p.m. Mail-in ballots must be returned to the county's board of elections by 8 p.m. on May 18.
