DOYLESTOWN, PA — Doylestown will welcome Pride Month on Monday, June 1, with public flag-raising ceremonies from 5 to 6 p.m. on the lawn of the Bucks County Administration building and at the nearby Doylestown Borough Hall.
LGBTQ+ youth from The Rainbow Room will join public officia and community leaders in raising the new Progress Pride Flag over the county office complex to kick off Pride Month activities in town.

Doylestown Borough will also be raising Pride Flags at Court and Main at the monument and in front of Borough Hall on Doyle Street.
Doylestown Borough businesses and residents are encouraged to fly LGBTQ+ Pride flags starting on June 1 to show support and to join in the spirit of Pride.
The Doylestown Pride Festival, organized and presented by Discover Doylestown, takes place from June 11 to 26, featuring film screenings, a Pride Block Party, Queer Youth Open Mic, and a Loud and Proud Ode to P!nk Drag Show.
Pride Week highlights include:
- Michener Art Museum presents Drag and Draw on June 11 from 6 to 8 p.m. Join the museum for a vibrant life drawing workshop featuring drag performers, Hannibal Lickher and Yari. Capture dynamic poses and expressions in a fun, creative setting. All skill levels welcome.
- A Pride Drink Contest takes place from June 12 to 28 at various bars throughout town. Vote for your favorite Pride drink. Several Doylestown establishments will be offering Pride-themed cocktails during the festival. The winning bar will be given a special spotlight for their participation. Must be 21 or older to participate.
- Follow Ev'ry Rainbow - Tour & Tunes at the Oscar Hammerstein Museum - will be held on June 14 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Join the museum at tea time for a tour of the home of legendary lyricist Oscar Hammerstein II, who penned the famous words to Oklahoma!, South Pacific, The Sound of Music, and many more classic musicals right here in Doylestown. The tour will be followed by a sing-along around the piano. Tickets are $15.
- The County Theatre presents a screening of the film, “Mommie Dearest” on June 19 at 9:45 p.m. Frank Perry’s infamous 1981 biopic, based on the memoir by Christina Crawford, sets out in earnest to examine the darker side of screen legend Joan Crawford’s family life.
- The Doylestown Pride Festival Block Party takes place on Saturday, June 20, from 11 a m. to 4 p.m. on East State Street between Pine and Main Streets. There will be music, vendors and entertainment.
- The Rainbow Room hosts a Queer Youth Open Mic on June 24 from 6 to 8 p.m. The free event will feature an evening of Queer Youth Art & Performance. Bring a blanket, chairs, snacks, friends, family, love, pride and a commitment to a world that celebrates, protects and fights for LGBTQ+ youth + art. Featuring Ratwyfe. - The County Thestre presents a screening of “To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything!” on June 25. Three drag queens (Patrick Swayze, Wesley Snipes, and John Leguizamo) travel cross-country in a '67 Cadillac convertible in hopes of making the pageant finals in Hollywood. But when their car breaks down in a small Midwestern town, they’ll have to use all the glamour and charisma they have to show the locals the power of drag. Endlessly quotable, Opening ahead of TO WONG FOO is the Doylestown premiere of BEN IN BLOOM, a 12-minute short documentary by director Natalie Jasmine Harris. The film chronicles the life and advocacy of Stella Lopresti-Busick, a queer youth in Bucks County. Stella will be in attendance to discuss BEN IN BLOOM immediately after TO WONG FOO ends, in a discussion and Q&A led by Marlene Pray, director and founder of The Rainbow Room.
- Loud & Proud Showcase. We're thrilled to announce the return of our Loud & Proud event, Ode to P!nk Drag Show on Friday, June 26th from 7-10 PM and Delaware Valley University. Loud & Proud celebrates Bucks County's queer community. Audience members will have the opportunity to interact with internationally renowned drag artists King Perk from King of Drag season one and Arietty from RuPaul's Drag Race season seventeen. This is going to be an unforgettable night of pride in queerness and Doylestown's hometown legend herself, P!nk.
