Man Faces Felony Charges Following Retail Thefts In Warrington

WARRINGTON, PA — A Warrington man is facing felony retail theft charges for an incident that happened at the Walgreens store and at the nearby Wawa store.

On May 23, police were called to the Walgreens store for the report of a retail theft. Employees told police that a man was observed concealing two containers of Tide Pods valued at $36.55 in a bag. The man exited the store, failing to pay for the concealed merchandise, police said.

Officers located the man near the Wawa and identified him as 52-year-old Milton Weeks from Philadelphia. While the officers were talking to Weeks, police said he pulled a Wawa breakfast sandwich from his bag and began eating it.

During the investigation, it was determined that just before stopping Weeks, he stole a sandwich and a drink valued at $13.03 from Wawa.

Weeks was arrested and transported to the station, where he was processed and released. He is charged with two counts of retail theft, a third-degree felony, and receiving stolen property, also a third-degree felony.

Man Bought Beer While Stealing Merchandise

WARRINGTON, PA — A 32-year-old Warrington man is facing charges for retail theft and receiving stolen property for an incident that happened at the Wegmans store.

Police were called to the store in March for a retail theft. Upon arrival, loss prevention officers told police that a man was observed selecting numerous items and concealing them into bags. The man then proceeded to the alcohol section, where he purchased beer and presented identification, police said.

A short time later, the man exited the store but failed to pay for $495.51 worth of merchandise. On May 17, he turned himself over to Warrington Police for processing. He is charged with retail theft and receiving stolen merchandise, both misdemeanors.
