DOYLESTOWN, PA — Carversville chef Dan Gallo is teaming up with Coleman Hay Farms in Chalfont to present the first in a series of farm-to-table benefit dinners.
The ticketed event will accommodate up to 40 guests and will run from 6 to 9 p.m. at Coleman Hay Farms, 138 Walter Road. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Kin Wellness and Support Center in Buckingham.
Gallo is the owner of Thyme and Plate, a boutique catering company based in Carversville. He also owns a newly opened sandwich shop in the village.
“This series is a way to embrace community, highlight a great charity, and showcase Coleman Hay Farms while doing what we love to do. Above all else, we want our guests to share in a really fun and memorable night out with us," Gallo said.
The evening is billed as “A Dam Good Dinner, For A Dam Good Cause.” The event will begin with appetizers in the grove followed by dinner in the refurbished barn and desserts on the dam. The event will highlight Coleman Farm's beef and eggs. The dinner is BYOB.

Desserts include chocolate pot de crème, butterscotch budino, and lemon and lavender olive oil cake.
“We have been following Dan’s career for years and had the pleasure of featuring his amazing cuisine at several Kin fundraising events, where he was gracious enough to donate his time and talents," said Keith Fenimore, co-founder and executive director of Kin. "We are honored to be the recipient of a percentage of the night’s proceeds."
He continued, "As a 100 percent community funded non-profit, we are only able to care for the hundreds who rely on us, through gracious community giving. We can’t thank Chef Gallo enough for his continued love and support.”

Daniel Gallo is the Chef and Owner of Thyme and Plate Catering in Bucks County. He grew up in a small suburb of Philadelphia where, like any child, his love of food centered on spaghetti, hot dogs, pizza and milkshakes.
As an adult, Daniel enrolled at the Restaurant School of Walnut Hill College to learn about classical French cuisine. It was during his tenure at the school that he traveled to France and ate and drank his way through Paris, Champagne and Burgundy. He was not drawn to the haute Michelin food of Paris, but rather the humble cuisine of the French countryside.
Daniel began his formal training in Philadelphia and then embarked on a journey that would take him across the country with stops in Boston, Cleveland, Los Angeles, and New York City. He has worked in fine dining, catering, food styling and as a private chef. Along the way he helped open 2 restaurants recognized by Bon Appetite Magazine as “10 Best New Restaurants in the Country” for their respective years and worked alongside some of the most respected chefs in the industry, including 4 “James Beard Best Chef Award Winners” and 5 “Food & Wine Best New Chefs”.
Daniel launched Thyme & Plate Catering in the spring of 2022 with a goal of providing delicious meals, unique experiences and having fun along the way.
