NEW BRITAIN TOWNSHIP, PA — A commercial vehicle enforcement detail in New Britain Township on June 3 found dozens of violations along the U.S. 202 Business corridor and on County Line Road.
According to the Central Bucks Motor Carrier Safety Enforcement Team, 14 commercial motor vehicles were inspected during the operation. Three of those vehicles had no violations, while 11 were found with violations.
The enforcement team reported 56 total violations, including eight out-of-service violations. Five commercial motor vehicles were placed out of service for brake and securement defects, including one oversize load. One driver also was taken out out of service.
The inspection detail focused on commercial motor vehicles traveling through the New Britain Township corridor.
In addition to the out-of-service orders, the team issued 12 citations and 44 warnings. The figures suggest that most of the vehicles inspected during the detail had at least one issue requiring enforcement action or corrective attention.
The June 3 detail was carried out along two well-traveled roadways in the township, US 202 Business and County Line Road, where commercial traffic regularly moves through the area. Based on the results released from the operation, the enforcement effort ended with multiple vehicles removed from service, one driver taken off the road, and dozens of violations documented.
