An unaccompanied veteran burial is a military funeral for a deceased service member who has no known next of kin, or whose family members are unable to attend the interment.

To ensure no veteran is laid to rest alone, local volunteers, veteran service organizations (VSOs), and honor guards step in to provide full, dignified military honor.

The public is invited and encouraged to attend the ceremony.
