WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — The Warrington Township Police Department reported the following arrests for retail theft and suspected drug possession.
Woman Arrested For Stealing High-Value Meat
- A 55-year-old Horsham woman is facing charges for retail theft after stealing high-value meat products from the Wegmans store. On June 18, police were called to Wegmans after loss prevention employees detained Catherine Topley for retail theft. Store personnel told police that Topley selected numerous high-end meat products, concealed them inside bags while shopping, and then exited the store without paying for the concealed merchandise. The total amount stolen was $175.28. Topley was placed under arrest and transported to the station where she was processed and released. She is charged with retail theft and receiving stolen merchandise.
Trespass Warning Ignored, Theft Arrest Follows
- A Hatboro woman is facing charges for retail theft following an incident on June 6 at the Wegmans. Warrington Police were called to the store for the report of a retail theft. Upon arrival a loss prevention employee told police they recognized Amanda Rose Hatkevich, 43, from Hatboro from a previous incident in 2019 when she was banned from the store. The store's loss prevention officer told police that Hatkevich selected numerous items, concealed them in her purse, made a small purchase and exited the store without paying for the $28.97 worth of concealed merchandise. Hatkevich was placed under arrest and was transported to the station where she was processed and released.
Littered Cigarette Sparks Investigation
- On June 5, a Warrington police officer observed a man appearing to be asleep or passed out at a bus stop outside Wawa. As the officer approached, the man stood up and discarded a lit cigarette. The man was identified as 37-year-old Brian Bancroft Antonuccio of Warminster, who was found to have an active arrest warrant from Philadelphia. During a search, officers found numerous wax baggies containing white powder residue, glass smoking devices, cut straws, and burnt foil. Antonuccio was transported to the station before being taken to a local hospital after complaining of a medical condition
