WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — A teenager has been cited for retail theft and banned from Target following a shoplifting incident at the store.
Warrington Police were called to the store on June 25 after the store's loss prevention officer detained a 14-year-old for retail theft.
Store personnel told police the teenager entered the store with two other teens, selected an empty shopping bag, and then concealed $109.49 worth of merchandise. The group then exited the store without paying for the concealed merchandise.
Store personnel stopped the juvenile with the merchandise; however, the other two fled the area. An officer quickly located the two fleeing juveniles at Valley Square and contacted their parents.
The parents were advised that their children were no longer allowed on Target property.
The parents of the detained juvenile responded to the store and took custody of their child. Police filed a non-traffic citation against the teenager, who was also banned from the store.
