DOYLESTOWN, PA — Doylestown’s popular Harry Potter store - Wizarding Ways And More - has relocated around the corner to a new, much larger space on Oakland Avenue.

They pulled over the invisibility cloak at its former location on East State Street on June 8 and reappeared two weeks later on June 25 at its new storefront at 22 East Oakland Avenue, the former site of Board and Brush.

“We loved the space we were in. We really loved the cuteness, the quaintness, the smallness - but we literally couldn’t fit anything more in there,” said store owner Jason Coffman. “We outgrew it very quickly. We were very happy to find this place.”

The newly renovated 1,500-square-foot space is triple the size of its former alleyway location, allowing it to expand its inventory of Harry Potter-themed gifts and merchandise dramatically.

“There’s more and more and even more,” Coffman said. “With the space we have here now, we’re enjoying the fact that we can bring in so much more. And we can actually move around in here.”

In addition to all the Harry Potter books, a collection of cloaks and wizard hats and wands, the store has added new books, puzzles, stickers, banners, makeup, children’s clothing, new t-shirts, Harry Potter-themed teas, and lots more to its offerings.

Some of the cooler new additions include a flying golden Snitch, which uses motion sensors to fly through the air and hover above your hand; hard-to-find Buffy the Vampire Slayer candles and mugs; and its glowing potion bottles.

One of the walls is devoted to Hogwarts and its four houses - Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin. Each house has the same merchandise, including bags, hats, shirts, sweaters, candles, bookmarks, snow globes, pins and decals.

With the expanded space, the store has also added a new candy section with giant gummy spiders and unicorns, jelly slugs, mythical meats, and their popular chocolate frogs made by their Oakland Street neighbor, Raymer’s.

Next to the candy section is a wall of Harry Potter- and Dungeons and Dragons -themed dog and cat toys, including leashes, bandanas and accessories.

The store has also branched out to include merchandise from other TV shows, movies and games including a limited selection from Dr. Who, Dungeons and Dragons, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

“The coolest thing for me is seeing the reaction of customers when they come in here and see the new store,” said Coffman. “People seem really pleased by the new space and the new merchandise we have. If you want to get out of reality for a little bit, stop by and have some fun looking at some really great stuff.”

Since its opening in 2024, the store has become the “go to” place in Doylestown for anything Harry Potter.

Before opening the store, Jason worked for 25 years selling theatrical supplies. He grew up in western Pennsylvania just outside of Pittsburgh.

”I fell in love with the (Harry Potter) books after reading them and I thought this would be a fun shop to have," said Coffman, who had dreamed of opening his own Harry Potter store for a long time. "I finally found a space and decided, 'Let's do it.' So here we are."

Hours at the new store are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday to Saturday, and Sunday from 12 to 5 p.m. The store is closed on Monday and Tuesday.
