New Youth Boxing Partnership Announced In Bucks County

BUCKS COUNTY, PA –The Bucks County Chiefs of Police Association and the Joe Hand Boxing Gym have announced a new partnership to provide a free Police Athletic League
(PAL) Boxing Program for youth throughout Bucks County.

Sponsored by Penn Community Bank Foundation, the collaborative initiative will offer a positive, structured environment where young people can develop
discipline, confidence, self-esteem, and healthy lifestyles through the sport of boxing while fostering meaningful relationships with local law enforcement officers.

The PAL Boxing Program will be offered free of charge to co-ed youth ages 11–17 and will take place every Tuesday and Thursday from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Joe Hand Boxing Gym in Feasterville. The program is designed to support young people who may benefit from additional mentorship, structure, and
positive outlets while providing a safe and welcoming environment where they can learn valuable life skills.

Founded nearly 30 years ago by retired Philadelphia Police Detective and boxing promoter Joe Hand Sr., the Joe Hand Boxing Gym has a longstanding commitment to using boxing and fitness as tools to empower individuals and improve lives. Since relocating in 2020, the nonprofit organization has
expanded its programming to serve individuals with Parkinson's disease, children and adults with special
needs, and youth throughout Bucks County.

"For nearly three decades, the Joe Hand Boxing Gym has served as a place where young people can learn discipline, accountability, and perseverance in a supportive environment," said Joe Hand Jr., Chairman of the Joe Hand Boxing Gym. "We are honored to partner with the Bucks County Chiefs of Police Association to continue providing opportunities that help young people grow both inside and outside of the gym. We believe boxing can be a powerful vehicle for mentorship, confidence-building, and personal
development, and we look forward to positively impacting even more families throughout Bucks County."

Each class session will focus on fundamental boxing skills, conditioning, teamwork, and character development in a safe, non-contact or controlled-contact setting. Participants will have the opportunity to train alongside experienced coaches and interact with law enforcement officers who are committed to serving as mentors and positive role models.
