WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Warrington Township welcomed two new full-time officers to the force Wednesday night during a meeting of the board of supervisors.
District Judge Stacy Wertman was on hand to administer the oath of office to Michael Roberts and Meghan Stewart.
Officer Roberts was born and raised in Jamison. He graduated from Central Bucks High School East and earned his Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from West Chester University.
While attending West Chester, Officer Roberts completed a 12-week internship with the Warrington Township Police Department. During his internship, he gained valuable firsthand experience and developed a strong appreciation for serving the community where he was raised.
After graduation, he completed the Montgomery County Community College Police Academy and is excited to begin his law enforcement career with Warrington Township.

Officer Stewart was raised in the Holland section of Northampton Township, earning her associate’s degree in criminal justice from Bucks County Community College. She recently graduated from the Montgomery County Community College Police Academy and will begin her law enforcement career with the Warrington Township Police Department.
Inspired by her father and grandparents, who served in law enforcement, Officer Stewart developed a passion for public service and said she is looking forward to serving the residents of Warrington with respect, professionalism, and integrity.
"The Warrington Township Police Department is proud to welcome Officers Roberts and Stewart and looks forward to the dedication and service they will bring to the Warrington community," said Lt. Glen Gottenberg.
The newly sworn officers are joined by Judge Wertman, Lt. Gottenberg and members of the Warrington Township Board of Supervisors.
